Characteristics (CE 0496)

Silent is a customized individual protection device (IPD).

Efficaciously protects hearing from those pathologies (acoustic trauma, noise hypoacusis) that often strike people exposed for a long time to high intensity sound levels.


Material

Silent is made of high temperature polymerized metacrilate. (material quality certificate n°91/155/EEC 04/94; released by "TÜV Rheinland Product Safety GmbH" - Germany -, produced by certified agency DIN EN ISO 9002/08.94 - DIN EN 46002/12.93)


Hygiene

Silent is endowed with hygienic hold, built to ease insertion and extraction and avoid that the part inserted in the external hearing conduit would be touched by dirty hands.


Comfort

Silent can be continuously worn during working time.
The anatomic earplug guarantees the best comfort.


Life

Silent must be cleaned every day with simple detergents. A regular maintenance grants this device un unlimited life. Avoid contact with aggressive substances like solvents, petrol etc.

  • Training course on correct and practical use of device.

Active filter

Silent is endowed with an active filter, which guarantees a high attenuation on hearing frequencies most damaged from high density noise sources, and at the same time lets pass verbal information necessary to communication.
This advantage is clear when is necessary to immediately signalize an emergency situation or danger.

Working on the screw is possible to increase or decrease attenuation according to your needs.

Silent in such a case is a good means of prevention of work injuries.


Attenuation Tables

The sound levels in the graphic underneath, refer to audiometric tests taken with the attenuation filter in a completely screwed position.

The values of the variables APV, H, M, L and SNR have been calculated, as requested by the relating rule EN 352-2:1993, by the formulas expressed in the rule ISO 4869-2, using the value =1
