The ORION Non-Linear Junction Detector (NLJD) detects semiconductor electronic components in walls, floors, ceilings, fixtures, furniture, enclosures or other surfaces. It is designed to detect and locate cameras, microphones and other hidden electronic devices regardless of whether the surveillance device is emitting radio frequency, is plugged in, turned ON or OFF. The use of the 2.4GHz frequency, with a short wavelength, is ideal for finding modern circuits equipped with new miniaturized components.
Multiple display methods are available on the color display mounted in line with the antenna, so as to allow users to view the display and target simultaneously. The ORION is comfortable and light, highly portable and integrates a telescopic rod for ceilings and hard-to-reach areas sweeping operations.
The use of a digitally modulated transmit signal, correlated second and third harmonic response, and adjustable DSP gain provide improved detection and minimize interference. The histogram graph shows the continuous history of the harmonic response and power adjustment. The innovative view of the spectrogram shows the graphs of the second and third harmonic in different ways; the touch screen displays the full RF spectrum for transmission ranges, 2nd or 3rd frequency.
The 1.25MHz bandwidth transmission signal increases detection sensitivity. Alerts, audible or silenced (vibrate), can be selected to alert the user when signal levels exceed alarm levels. The ergonomic and functional configuration of the ORION bug detector, with the display in line with the antenna, and a LED headlamp, allow those who are carrying out bug sweeping operations to focus their eyes on the target and on the display at the same time, even in poorly lit areas.
With a small and light design (the device weighs only 1.4 kg including battery), the ORION has an integrated telescopic pole, a synthesized transceiver with stabilized frequency and a marked agility in the automatic search for clean operating frequencies (2.404GHz - 2.472Ghz).
