Built-In Hardware Features

Unlike a software-only spy phone, a hardware-modified phone has a separate recording and monitoring circuit built directly into the device. The hardware runs independently of Android or iOS and draws power directly from the phone's battery. This allows supported hardware functions to keep working even when the smartphone itself is turned off, until the battery is fully discharged.

• Continuous Ambient Audio Recording
  A dedicated microphone built into the hardware captures surrounding audio without relying on the phone's standard recording apps. Microphone sensitivity, frequency response, and other audio specifications vary by smartphone model and hardware configuration.

• Call Recording Through Dedicated Hardware
  The built-in circuit can capture call audio independently of the recording features provided by Android or iOS. Recordings are stored through the integrated hardware, with storage capacity varying by model and configuration.

• Keeps Recording When the Phone Is Off
  Turning off the smartphone shuts down Android or iOS, but it does not physically disconnect the battery. Because the recording circuit has its own connection to the phone's power supply, it can continue operating after the phone has been turned off.

• Up to 72 Hours of Recording
  The integrated recording chip provides up to 72 hours of recording. Actual operating time depends on battery charge and how the system is being used.

• • Built-In Recording Storage
    Audio is stored directly in memory connected to the internal recording hardware. Storage capacity varies by smartphone model and hardware configuration.

  • Bluetooth Access
    The internal recording hardware can communicate over Bluetooth with compatible devices and relay systems, allowing supported recordings, settings, and data to be accessed without relying on the phone's operating system.

  • Recording Management
    Stored recordings can be accessed, transferred, or managed using the tools provided with the hardware configuration.

  • Multiple Recording Modes
    Depending on the configuration, the recorder can run continuously, start automatically when sound is detected through VOX, follow a recording schedule, or be controlled manually.

  • Remote Live Audio
    When the recording hardware is connected to a compatible relay, live audio can be forwarded over a mobile data or Wi-Fi connection for remote access.

  • On-Demand Streaming
    Live streaming can be started or stopped without interrupting local recording. When supported by the configuration, streaming can resume after the network connection becomes available again.

  • Independent of Android or iOS
    The built-in monitoring hardware does not need the smartphone's operating system to be running. Because the modification is physically installed inside the phone, a standard software update or factory reset does not remove the hardware itself.

  • Remote Access Through Dedicated Relays

    For remote access beyond the direct Bluetooth range of the recording chip, Endoacustica offers two dedicated relay systems. The relay stays within Bluetooth range of the modified phone and uses either a mobile data connection or Wi-Fi to provide remote access over the Internet.

      • Remote management through an HTTPS REST API for downloads, configuration changes, and battery-status monitoring.

      • Dual-band 2.4/5 GHz Wi-Fi gateway built into an MFi-certified wall charger.
      • Powered directly from AC, with standby power consumption below 1 W.
      • Encrypted Bluetooth connection to the modified phone, with a range of up to 50 m line of sight, forwarding data through an existing LAN or Wi-Fi hotspot.
      • Secure TLS 1.3 access for AES-256 audio streaming and protected web-based remote management.

    Once the relay is connected to the Internet, the system can provide remote live audio, automatically transfer and synchronize recordings, and give authorized users access to supported settings without requiring physical access to the phone.
