Interference Monitoring for Wireless Security
RIL-JAM monitors for jamming signals between 50 MHz and 6 GHz. It is designed for installations that rely on wireless alarm sensors, radio surveillance links, or cellular alarm communicators.
When interference is detected, the device activates its alarm output. The source describes a response within a few seconds, without specifying a guaranteed response time. This provides an indication of interference; it does not remove the interference or restore a disrupted connection.
Sensitivity Control and Alarm Integration
The detector is designed to distinguish jamming interference from ordinary mobile-phone, broadcast-radio, and Wi-Fi activity. Adjustable sensitivity helps adapt detection to the installation and reduce nuisance alarms.
RIL-JAM uses 12 V DC power and provides one open-collector output. Connect it to a compatible alarm input; verify the receiving equipment’s electrical requirements before installation. Output voltage and current limits are not supplied in the source documentation.
