Continuous or Voice-Activated Recording

For meetings and interviews, continuous mode records the discussion from start to finish, including pauses. Voice activation starts recording when the microphone detects sound, reducing the amount of silence in the recording.

The built-in microphone can pick up sound from up to 33 ft (10 m) under favorable acoustic conditions. Background noise, room acoustics, and the speaker’s volume affect how clearly voices are recorded.

Audio Quality and File Length

The REC-20H saves recordings as WAV files. Choose a bitrate from 64 to 256 kbps to balance audio quality and storage space.

You can also split recordings into files from 1 to 300 minutes long. Shorter files can make it easier to review and organize a long session.

Listen on the Device or Your Computer

The supplied earphone connects through a Micro USB–MiniJack adapter for playback directly from the recorder. To copy the WAV files, connect the recorder to your computer using the USB cable.

The recorder works with Windows, macOS, and Linux without additional drivers or audio codecs. Android devices need USB On-The-Go (OTG) support and a compatible OTG connection.

Battery Life and Storage
