A small recorder with a separate Knowles microphone

Built in Endoacustica’s laboratory, the SAB-R1 records speech and room audio to 8 GB of internal memory. Its slim body measures 40 × 17 × 8 mm—approximately 1.57 × 0.67 × 0.31 inches.

The microphone connects by cable rather than sitting inside the recording unit. This gives you more freedom to place it near the sound source while keeping the recorder elsewhere. Cable length can be customized on request.

The Knowles microphone includes a high-pass filter to reduce low-frequency noise.

WAV recording with a single ON/OFF control

Switch the recorder on to begin recording and off to stop. Audio is saved as WAV files at a bitrate of 192 kbps.

Up to 55 hours of battery life

The built-in rechargeable 3.7 V lithium-ion battery supports up to 55 hours of recording under ideal conditions. Actual runtime varies with use.

The 8 GB memory stores up to 100 hours of audio. Storage capacity and battery life are separate specifications: 100 hours refers to the amount of audio the memory can hold, not recording time on a single charge.

Copy recordings to your computer

Use the USB adapter to connect the SAB-R1 to a computer and copy your recordings. The files can then be played in a standard audio player without dedicated recorder software.

The SAB-R1 also supports MP3 playback. Recordings made with the device are saved in WAV format.

The internal memory can also hold documents and other files. Any space used for those files reduces the capacity available for audio recordings.
