Digital and analog audio reception
Two receive modes
GMSK digital demodulation and conventional WFM analog reception for compatible UHF audio transmitters.
Internal decoder
The added decoder board selects the receive mode automatically and supports decoding of compatible encrypted digital signals.

UHF reception for compatible audio transmitters
EN-R5D combines digital GMSK and analog WFM reception in one portable receiver. It receives compatible clear audio transmissions and uses an additional decoder module installed inside the unit to decode compatible encrypted digital signals.
Receiver and transmitter must use matching frequencies and supported signal formats. For encrypted operation, the decoder configuration must also match the transmitter.
Automatic mode selection and reception indicators
The internal decoder board automatically selects analog or digital reception, without a separate manual mode-selection procedure. An LED illuminates during digital reception, and an audio expansion switch is provided.
The receiver measures 58 × 86 × 27 mm and operates from two AA 1.2 V rechargeable batteries. Specified current draw is 150 mA at medium volume.
