Full description
AM/FM/WFM reception in a compact receiver
IC-ERRE is a handheld scanner receiver covering 100 kHz–1,309.995 MHz. Its built-in ferrite antenna supports medium-wave AM reception without an external antenna. A 50-ohm SMA connector provides the external antenna connection for other reception requirements.
The compact, shock-resistant housing includes a dedicated keypad and 3.5 mm audio output. Power is supplied by two AA batteries or an external DC source. With the designated charger, the DC jack supports receiver operation while charging suitable Ni-Cd batteries. Charging applies only to compatible rechargeable cells.
Memory scanning and selective audio
Channels can be assigned six-character alphanumeric names. Built-in CTCSS/DTCS decoding keeps the audio muted until the programmed tone or code is detected, helping select the intended signal when other radio traffic is present.
Scanning operates at 30 channels per second. Modes include full scan, band scan, automatic storage and auto-write, memory-bank scan, channel skip, priority-channel scan and tone scan. Squelch controls provide automatic delay adjustment, plus threshold and hysteresis adjustment based on signal strength.
Supplied accessories: antenna, belt clip and wrist strap.

Applications
Multiband radio monitoring
Receive compatible AM, FM and WFM signals across the specified range. The internal ferrite antenna supports medium-wave AM listening without an external antenna.
Stored-channel monitoring
Organize selected frequencies into banks and identify them with alphanumeric names. Priority scanning follows the designated priority channel, while skip settings exclude unwanted channels.
Tone-selective reception
CTCSS/DTCS decoding opens the audio when the programmed tone or code is detected. The 3.5 mm output provides a connection for compatible external audio equipment.
