The RF-GPS tracker collar is one of the most popular products among the tracking devices for hunting-hound dogs or other animals in general. The system, operating both on radio frequency and with GPS signal, is characterized by a handheld RF receiving unit and a small sized-weight radio transmitter. The collar can be easily worn by a large number of animals (i.e. hunting dogs, dogs in general, pets, horses, cows etc.) without causing them problems because of its light weight.
Plus the equipment does not require the use of a SIM card or telephone network to work. Another important feature is the absence of ON/OFF buttons on the radio collar, so that it can be managed and made operational only by the owner himself.
As for the radio frequency locator, it should be emphasized that the latter can be used both indoors and outdoors (even in places not officially shown on the maps) within a range of 70 km in open space. The device takes advantage of setting dog's automatic position update mode every 3.5.8 seconds or 1.2.3 minutes.
The system core is equipped with a wide easy-to-read LCD display and a built-in Lithium battery with up to 30 hours of authonomy, easily rechargeable via USB connector both at home and in the car. Several collars, and therefore animals, can be simultaneously followed by a single central unit, up to a maximum of 999 radio-collars.
The RF-GPS-TRACKER location system also offers the possibility of inserting in the central palm unit a known GPS position (sent, for example, by a rescue team, climbers in difficulty etc.) in order to be directed towards the specific coordinates indicated on the display. In this case the device is likewise used as GPS locator for mountain rescue operations, territory management or position tracking within inaccessible areas. In particular, it can prove useful in finding missing people in open places (skiers, climbers, hikers, etc.) and even to find valuable belongings or vehicles whose GPS coordinates are known.
