Designed to Disrupt Unwanted Recordings
SJD-PRO helps protect confidential discussions by interfering with susceptible microphones in smartphones, voice recorders, and audio transmitters. Its speaker-style enclosure blends into offices, meeting rooms, and hotel rooms, while remote activation provides convenient control.
A microprocessor manages frequency changes across eight ultrasonic transducers. A separate speaker adds high-frequency output at 18–19 kHz. Because this additional output may be audible to some people, the system should not be described as completely silent. Recording suppression varies with the microphone, placement, distance, and room acoustics.
Multiple Units for a Larger Meeting Space
The manufacturer describes a three-unit triangular arrangement, called the 3D System, for a room approximately 9–10 meters long. This is a multi-unit installation example, not a guaranteed operating radius for one unit. Unit placement and coverage should be assessed in the intended room.
Direct 220 V mains power supports 24-hour operation. Endoacustica can help assess the room and the number of units required for your application. The system is intended to interfere with microphone recordings; it does not prevent people nearby from hearing a conversation.
