GPS-MULTITASK houses a GPS tracker, GSM module and audio recorder in a carbon-plastic enclosure. Neodymium magnets provide attachment to suitable metal surfaces. The device measures 47 × 23 × 18 mm and uses a 500 mAh lithium-ion battery.

The housing is weather-resistant, although no IP rating is specified. Position tracking and audio pickup have different placement requirements; the installation needs to suit the intended functions and signal reception.

GPS location and cellular fallback

Satellite positioning requires reception of GPS signals. In a garage or another location where those signals are blocked, cell-tower positioning (LBS)An approximate location based on cellular network cells. Accuracy depends on the network and is not equivalent to a GPS fix. can provide an approximate location through the mobile network.

Timed power saving

Deep SleepA timed suspension of the GSM module. It cannot receive calls or new commands while asleep and wakes at the scheduled time or after physical intervention. reduces power consumption while the module is not needed. A sleep interval is set by SMS, after which the module wakes automatically.

The module cannot receive calls or new commands during this interval. Sleep mode is a power-management feature; it does not guarantee that the device cannot be detected.

GSM audio monitoring with restricted call access

The built-in microphone provides live audio over a GSM call. Call access is limited to the configured administrator phone number; other callers receive a busy signal. The device uses a nano SIM and requires a compatible SIM service and cellular network.

Signal strength and time spent listening affect battery life. GSM audio transmission and local recording are separate functions with different power requirements.

The recorder saves MP3 audio at a 48 kHz sample rate. Voice activation (VAS)Starts recording when sound exceeds the configured threshold. Settings are configured on a PC; sounds other than speech can also trigger recording. supports sound-triggered recording, with settings configured on a PC. Each recording period is saved as a separate file.

An ALC preamplifierAutomatic level control adjusts audio amplification. It is not the same as removing background noise. manages the audio level. The recording module also has a power-saving mode for periods between recordings.

Battery life depends on the active mode

With GSM switched off, the recorder provides up to 75 hours of recording or up to 1,800 hours in sleep mode. With recording switched off, the GSM module provides up to 7 hours of transmission, up to 200 hours of standby, or up to 3 months in deep sleep.

These are separate estimates under ideal conditions, not cumulative runtimes. Actual runtime varies with use, active functions and GSM signal strength.
