Full Description
GPS Tracking and Live Listening
MINI-GPS/4G brings together a GPS antenna, LTE/4G communications module, microphone, and motion and vibration sensors. GPS determines the location; the cellular connection sends reports to the tracking service and supports remote communication with the device.
Manage the Tracker from Your Phone
The free Android and iOS app provides map viewing, route history and configuration controls. SMS commands offer another way to manage supported settings from a phone. There is no additional app subscription, although cellular data, text messages and calls are subject to the SIM provider’s plan.
Hear What Is Happening Nearby
Live audio is available through a phone call to the tracker. Its surface-mounted silicon microphoneA miniature microphone mounted directly on the circuit board, rather than connected as a separate external microphone. keeps the audio hardware within the compact unit.
Placement affects what you can hear. Distance from the sound source, background noise and surrounding materials all influence the audio reaching the microphone. Live listening provides audio during the call; it should not be confused with saving audio files for later playback.
Review Previous Trips
You do not need to watch the map continuously to review vehicle activity. The app retains location history and lets you select dates and times to examine earlier movements. Current location and route history serve different purposes: one helps locate the vehicle now, while the other provides a record of positions already received.
Notifications for Specific Events
Configure alerts for vibration, a selected speed threshold or departure from a geofenceA virtual boundary drawn on the map. A geofence exit alert notifies you when the tracker leaves that area.. These notifications help draw attention to relevant activity without requiring constant checks of the location screen.
Compact Hardware and Power Options
The tracker measures 50 × 30 × 20 mm (1.97 × 1.18 × 0.79 in). Its integrated antenna and microphone reduce the number of separate parts needed for an installation. Two neodymium magnets provide attachment to a suitable ferrous metal surface.
Rechargeable 1,500 mAh Battery
The internal 3.7 V lithium battery provides up to approximately five days under ideal conditions. Actual runtime varies with use, including location reporting, listening time, movement and cellular reception. Recharge the battery through the USB connection using a 5 V DC supply.
External Power for Longer Use
A separate battery arrangement is available, along with optional 5 V DC or 12/24 V DC power configurations. Vehicle power requires the appropriate configuration; it is separate from the standard 5 V USB charging connection.
Battery runtime describes operation away from a continuous power source. With an external supply, operating time depends on that supply and the installation rather than the internal battery alone.
Placement for Location and Audio
Magnetic mounting simplifies attachment, but the location must support both GPS and cellular reception. If live listening is required, the microphone also needs to receive sound from the intended space. A closed enclosure or a noisy mounting location can reduce useful audio pickup.
Cellular Service Requirements
The listed data technologies are 2G, 3G and 4G LTE. Operation requires a SIM with the services needed for the selected functions and compatible local coverage. Confirm the unit’s supported bands and voice service with the intended carrier before purchase, particularly for deployment in the United States.
